Our Beginning
Founded in 1999, the Sandbeach Girls’ Basketball Association provided both recreational and competitive basketball opportunities for girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade, attending South and East Hanover Elementary Schools. In 2012 we changed our name to Lower Dauphin Girls Youth Basketball, opening the program to all girls residing in Lower Dauphin School District.

Our Mission
The purpose of this organization is to teach the fundamentals of basketball to our youth in a fun and supportive environment. In addition, we want our players to learn. And while winning is fun, it’s not always about winning. We want our players to learn sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, confidence and character.
